We are an independent pre-school open for children aged 2-4 years, Monday-Friday 9-3 during term time, we offer morning sessions (9-12), afternoon sessions (12-3), full days (9am-3pm) or a combination of sessions.

We have two large classrooms, offering a broad range of experiences in line with the EYFS framework, as well as a well resourced outside enclosed garden area.

All of our staff are fully qualified, DBS checked, paediatric first aid trained and have safeguarding qualifications.
About Hollybush Preschool CIC
We are a, small, Community Interest Company Preschool based on the grounds of Hollybush Primary School, in Hertford. We are open Monday - Friday 9am-3pm during the term time. We accept children aged 2-4 years across two generously size rooms and provide a magnitude of fun, engaging and age appropriate activities, related to the EYFS framework accessible for all.
At Hollybush Preschool, we aim to provide a loving, safe and nurturing environment for our children to play, learn and grow.
We accept 15 and 30 hour funded children as well as having very reasonable fees.
In 2019 OFSTED graded Hollybush Preschool as "GOOD".

Meet the Team
Leanne Hayden - Pre-School Leader/Manager
I have a Level 4 qualification, 14 years experience in childcare and have 2 young children of my own. First Aid trained. Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Emma French - Deputy Pre-School Leader & SENCO
I am level 3 qualified and have worked in childcare for a few years, stopping for a while when I had my own children. First aid trained.
Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Tricia Carter - Room Leader
I am a mum of 1 teenage daughter, I have a Level 3 in childcare and have worked in childcare for many years. First Aid trained.
Rebecca Chalkley - SENCO
I have worked in childcare for 12 years. I have a son who is 7. I am First Aid trained.
Danielle Huntley - Practitioner
I am level 3 qualified and have 10 years experience working in childcare. I am first aid trained and am a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Chris Martin - Director
I am one of the Directors of the Preschool and have been since 2010. My main responsibility is the finances. I live in Hertford and have three daughters who all attended the preschool.
Carol Wighton
I have been working here for 9 years. My main responsibility is the admin for Preschool. I have two daughters who are 28 and 25, who both went through the preschool.
Our uniform is a polo shirt and a sweatshirt, the children can wear their own trousers/shorts/skirts.
